In case the buyer wishes to cancel the order after the completion of the payment then the buyer can do so at ANY TIME BEFORE THE ORDER IS SHIPPED. The order cannot be canceled once shipped from Our warehouse. Once the order is canceled, the refund will happen within the next 72 hours.
Process for cancellation
- Log into your Jayalakshmi account and go to the 'My Account' page and then click ‘My Orders’.
- Select the order you would like to cancel
- Once you enter the selected order page you can click the 'CancelOrder' button on the right hand topside of the detailed order page.
Definition: 'Return' is defined as the action of giving back the item purchased by the Buyer on the Jayalakshmi website. Following situations may arise:
- Item was defective
- Item was damaged during the Shipping
- Products was / were missing
- Wrong item was sent by the Seller.
- Buyer need to raise the refund request within 10 days from the date of product delivery.
- Please note that 10 days after the delivery of the product the return Option will not be available against the individual order.
- Return will result in refund of money in the form of store credit which would be valid for 90 days from the date of issue.
- This amount will be Credited in the form of Store credit to the users account, only after the receipt and verification of the product by Jayalakshmi and only if it meets our Return Policy Conditions.
- Jayalakshmi Reserves the right to reject the claim of any Return Request raised by the buyer.
A return request can be rejected due to following reasons.
- Damages due to misuse of product by the buyer.
- Any product that is returned without original packaging, and all other items originally included with the product/s delivered.
- Garments, which is 'made to order' on customer's request.
- Clothes used (other than for trial), altered, washed, soiled or damaged in any way.
- Color running or fading due to product being washed in a wrong manner.
- Color running or fading due to product being washed along with other bright color items.
In such an event the product would be returned back to the customer without any replacement or Store Credits.
Failure to notify Us of any defects in the product/s at the time of delivery of the product/s and/or within 10 days from the date of delivery and the same product/s will not be replaced and will not be eligible for a refund or store credits.
If Jayalakshmi has suspicion or knowledge, that any of its buyers are involved in any activity that is intended to provide claims or information that is false, misleading or not genuine, then We may while reserving its rights to initiate civil and/or criminal proceedings against member may also at its sole discretion suspend, block, restrict, cancel the Display Name of such buyer.
In all cases, return shipping cost has to be born by the customer.
Steps to Cancel an Order
To cancel and order before shipping,
'My Account' -> 'My Orders',
Select the order to cancel by clicking 'View Order' & click on 'Cancel Order' link on the top right.
Steps to Return
To return a product;Sign in to Jayalakshmi,
Go to My Account
Go to My Orders
Click on the order you would like to return
Click on subsequent Return Order Button,
Fill the respective forms and wait for the confirmation from the Online team.
Online team will check your request, and if found genuine, customer will be notified by a mail that your return request is Partially approved and customer can send the product back to Jayalakshmi for our in-store expert’s inspection. Up on verification, if the mentioned defect/reason found genuine, online team will notify the customer that the customer’s return request has been approved and the subsequent amount will be credited in to the customer’s account. Kindly note that the "Online Store Credit" can be used to purchase any products from our Online store and not valid for purchases from any of the Jayalakshmi's bricks and mortar show rooms. Under any circumstances, the return products will not be accepted back without proper Return Authorization Code/Number. Jayalakshmi will not take any responsibility for such return products.
Incase, amount Refund has approved by the authorities, the amount will be credited to customer's account, which was used to make the purchase, only after/within 72 hours from the time of approval due to the bank restrictions/process. The refund request can be processed only within the stipulated time frame mentioned above for "Return" the order. No refund will be possible for COD orders. Online Store Credit will be issued for such orders.
